    Overview 

     

    Chlor-alkali process is an industrial process for electrolysis of sodium chloride. It is used in the production of chlorine and sodium hydroxide (alkali/caustic soda), both of which are essential and commonly used chemicals in industry.

     

    Etg6900p-cl was used to analyze Cl2 in hydrogen based on nondispersive ultraviolet absorption spectroscopy (NDUV).  NDUV nondispersive ultraviolet absorption spectroscopy is a common method to determine the concentration of complex gas mixtures. The gas analyzer uses modern optical elements to optimize the results of the analyzer. We used a special LED technology to get a steady emission of radiation. This leads to a high-resolution gas analysis system that can detect changes in gas concentrations below 1ppm.

     

    Nondispersive ultraviolet absorption spectrometry (NDUV) uses the principle that the electrons of a particular gas molecule absorb radiation and then undergo a stimulated transition. Compared with the infrared absorption method, these excitations are affected by a larger cross-section (the absorption coefficient), so the proportion of radiation absorption will be larger. Therefore, NDUV method is particularly suitable for PPM trace gas analysis. In addition, the gas analysis method is not affected by the concentration of interfering water vapor.
